Cannot go back to light theme after trying "Dark" theme

Hi!

I’ve just registered, and I tested the Dark theme in the preferences.

From that point on, it seems impossible to get back to a “Light” theme:

  • changing Theme from Dark to Default (and saving) does nothing, even though “Default” now appears as the current setting
  • changing the colour palette to Light has no effect

It’s not the first Discourse website I’ve used, even the last beta-9 one (I did check that theme change on another which updated to 3.5.0.beta9-dev: no problem), but I’ve never had this problem before.

Any ideas? I have nothing against dark themes, but most of the top icons are not visible. Not a big deal, though.

Ah, finally found it. All I had to do was to click on the Light mode drop-down and select “Theme default”, as shown below (and I think I had changed Mode to “Light” before, without any effect since my system doesn’t change theme depending on time of day):
