It has no notable user facing ActivityPub features so far, but
easy setup of instance & account,
webfinger discoverability (from e.g. mastodon search),
a welcoming, long-term reliable website.
I made this embarrassingly limited release to build awareness for low-barrier-entry internet services in general and especially in the field of personal communication as well as letting the #fediverse and permacomputing communities know.
a Debian developer reached out to me and thought about (future) distributing it with Debian. Who knows something about preparing OCaml static binaries for Debian?
We have some rudimentary Debian packaging scripts for our software in Robur, e.g builder-web/packaging at main - builder-web - Gitea: Git with a cup of tea. For getting a package into the Debian repositories I have heard that they prefer if each dependency is packaged as well. Please take it with a grain of salt, though.
It would be great if you add more information about what you are announcing. Is it something like Mastodon? I read the main page, but I’m not sure that I understood right.
