Our team at the University of Chicago is building an experimental programming environment for OCaml, featuring live display of program values, visual editing, and program synthesis. We are looking to hire professional OCaml programmers to try our tool. We will teach you the tool and observe and discuss as you use the tool to construct small programs. The feedback you give us will help improve the tool and may be published at international conferences to advance human knowledge. And, it should be fun!
The study will involve 2-6 hours in total, spread over 1-4 sessions. Compensation is $75/hour. Sessions will take place with a facilitator via video conference. The tool runs alongside your favorite editor. Scheduling is flexible (early mornings to late evenings). Immediate availability is preferred.
Requirements:
- 18+ years of age
- Located in the USA
- 2+ years of functional programming experience, at least 1+ years professionally with OCaml
- Ready to try a radically different way of constructing OCaml programs!
