Is there a reason to prefer LSP over tuareg with Emacs?

Hi. I use Emacs and I’m pretty happy with tuareg + merlin. I know the LSP server also uses merlin, and I’m just curious if there is anything I’m missing out on, or any reason to switch to LSP with Emacs?
