Containers is 10 years old!

Today marks the 10 years mark since the first commit of containers [1] was created :tada: . It’s been quite a ride! I’m grateful to all users and contributors, without whom the library wouldn’t have reached its current version of 3.11 after roughly 72 releases!!

Happy birthday :camel:-:package:!

  1. containers is an extension of the stdlib, trying to complement it rather than replace it. ↩︎

Thank you Simon! Containers was a key part of my getting productive with OCaml, after bouncing off of it a couple of times before ~2019. Base and Core didn’t (and still don’t) resonate, but containers was a “just right” foundation that has rarely failed me.:clap:

What a marvelous version number to round off 10 years on. Looking forward to containers NT, 95 and XP!

Congrats!

A great milestone indeed! I’m a newly minted OCamler (or whatever it’s called), but I totally love containers and I’ve learned a lot from it!

Here’s to many more birthdays to come! :beers:
