Why the OCaml ecosystem is poorly documented?

It doesn’t have a separate page within the Core docs because it’s actually a module alias for the Stdio.Out_channel module. So it has its own page there, which you can click through to from above.

The good news is that this will be fixed when odoc 3 is integrated with ocaml.org. The problem occurs because the sidebar logic is implemented in a bit of a hacky way currently - where it more-or-less does a find . -name "index.html" to populate the sidebar, which will obviously miss out module aliases, which don’t generate docs but simply link to the aliased module.

Sidebars are integrated into odoc 3 properly now, so that logic can go away and we won’t have these problems in future.
