I would like to signal that The OCaml system, release 5.3 page has several dead links (HTTP 404) for the href in the line “This manual is also available in PDF, plain text, as a bundle of HTML files, and as a bundle of Emacs Info files”. Thanks for this release.

Moreover, the links to the documentation of the stdlib’s module are incorrect. They refer to a non-existing libref directory, while the pages seem to be in the api directory (e.g. https://ocaml.org/manual/5.3/libref/Arg.html → https://ocaml.org/manual/5.3/api/Arg.html )

This is being fixed, I somehow sent the stand-alone html version of the manual to ocaml.org rather than the ocaml.org version.

So, after reading the section “Debugging Improvements” from Tarides | OCaml 5.3: Features and Fixes! would this mean that debugging in say Vscode with OCaml earlybird is magically better on Mac after updating to 5.3?

No, earlybird uses ocamldebug, it debugs the bytecode (and because of that is not platform specific). The improvement are for lldb which debugs native code.
