LexiFi at FUN OCaml 2025

Dear OCaml enthusiasts,

LexiFi participated in this year’s FUN OCaml that took place in Warsaw this past September 15 and 16. The event was a great success, thanks to the efforts of the organizers and the other participants. Hopefully the event will continue to take place and develop in the future.

LexiFi both sponsored and contributed (two) presentations to the event: a 30-minute retrospective on 25 years of using OCaml at LexiFi, and a 2-hour workshop on implementing a toy version of our type-reflection extension to the compiler.

If you are interested, we wrote a short blog post LexiFi at FUN OCaml 2025 | LexiFi where you will find the slides and the video for the 30-minute presentation, as well as the code and the slides for the 2-hour workshop (the video recording for this part is not yet available).

Enjoy!

Best wishes,
Nicolas

Thanks so much, @nojb, it’s a great post!

When I saw that we didn’t have the LexiFi blog on the OCaml Planet in general, I tried to look up the RSS feed. Couldn’t find one, so I’m taking the liberty to add the post to the OCaml Planet manually in this PR: OCaml Planet: Add lexifi ocaml blog entry about FUN OCaml by sabine · Pull Request #3362 · ocaml/ocaml.org · GitHub. (This means, the post will be listed on The OCaml Planet, and the link to the original post will go out through social media, to promote the post.)

If there’s a RSS feed from LexiFi, I’d be happy to add that to the OCaml Planet (we do have a filter for “OCaml” being mentioned within the posts, so even if your feed doesn’t exclusively contain OCaml, it can be added.

Thanks @sabine!

I will find out about the RSS feed and, if there is one, get back to you.

Best wishes,
Nicolas
