# ANN: jbuilder 1.0+beta12

On behalf of the jbuilder team, I’m happy to announce the release of the 12th beta of jbuilder. This release contains a little bit of everything: cool new features, bug fixes, and breaking changes. Please read the change log for details:

Just to stress the most visible and known breaking change: the `per_file` option will no longer be accepted in the `preprocess` spec anymore.

We urge everyone to upgrade and report their problems with this release. We also monitor this forum for any usage questions, so don’t hesitate.

Does this fix issues with Jbuilder and ppx\_deriving? (See [this example](https://github.com/pdonadeo/ocaml-lens/issues/8))

No, but the latest version of ppx\_deriving (4.2) should fix this.
